Road Trip!

Leaving in the morning to go and play! Outside too! We usually like to leave around the boys nap time, that way they will sleep while we are in the car. We will bring along a movie and snacks to keep them occupied. When we are on the road we have to be prepared for anything. This includes several potty stops and sometimes stops to let someone out who is going to throw-up! We have three out of five kids that get carsick. So, hopefully the ginger snaps work their magic! I heard a long time ago that ginger is good for an upset tummy, and it does actually work. We are only going to be in the car for about an hour tomorrow. When we have the cross state trips, we have to pack the entire house. Everyone wants to take a pillow and a blanket. The girls get to pack their own cooler to keep in the back seat with them. They also have a bag for trash and another bag with activities to keep them busy. I have also been able to come up with some of my own cool road trip games. We like to stop while we are on the road and eat somewhere new or visit a new place. Our most recent trip was to Pikes Peak. When we got to the highest point allowed, (the summit was closed due to 15ft. snow drifts) only Matt and I got out of the car because it was freezing! The wind was so awful, and it was already only 38 degrees! So, we need to go back so I can get pictures of everyone standing in the wind!
