Please God, No!!!

Today started out as any other, 6:15 wake-up call, running about the house seeking new things to destroy, protesting the choices made for breakfast, playing downstairs with the blocks. All pretty usual for our guys. Bath time at about 10:30, just before nap-time. Nap time is the only way I would survive the day. When bath time is through and getting dressed and diapered is next on the agenda, I always enjoy watching those chubby little baby bottoms running down the hallway with such glee. The boys always make a run for it as soon as their little "Fred Flinstone" feet hit the ground. I know our girls did this sort of thing as well, but they did not find it necessary to hold themselves while racing up and down the hallway. Getting one little man ready for the day means leaving one naked for a bit of time. This can lead to much danger as I experienced today. I turned to put Garhett (the oldest of the boys) down just in time to see Brenden (the one in the picture) reaching to pick up a piece of poop off the ground. His two year old sister is screaming "That's yucky mommy!!" over and over, while I am trying to get to him before he is able to pick it up. We all know what kids do when they grasp things in their little hands! They smush the h$ll out of it! So, I push his poor, unsuspecting brother to the ground to move him out of the way and yelled, "Please God, no!!!" I am not sure why I chose those words, but in my mind all I was thinking about was having to give him another bath, and what a pain it was going to be. Fortunately, he only got a little on himself and his bath was salvaged with a good hand washing. I will always remember his sister saying, "he pooped like a doggie."
