I'm On Break!!

Just after seven, the boys are just getting into bed and I am officially on break. I am on break that is until Addy needs her teeth brushed and a bedtime book read. No homework this week since school is almost done which is sooo nice! Ran the kids all over after school. Went to dance class, and Dad took Apryl to softball practice. He also ran to the grocery store during her practice. It is not too easy for me to go the store without another adult. I need two carts not for groceries, but for my kids! We have done a trip to Target, and maybe one or two quick trips to the grocery store. When I think I will just run in and grab something, I am usually not back for about 45 minutes. People always want to ask questions about the boys and tell me about some random set of twins they know. Then we get the people who feel sorry for us or have the nerve to ask us if we are crazy. I have been telling them lately to feel sorry for me if I break my leg, or my house burns down. Do not feel badly for me because I have five awesome children. Then we will also hear "better you than me". That is appalling to me. Why do people not think before they speak anymore?? Why do some people feel it is okay to say something insulting as long as they are smiling when they say it?? I have friends and acquaintances with four or more children, and they can all recall a time when they have been approached by perfect strangers with something rude to say them. Next time you see a family with a few kiddos having fun and loving life, congratulate them. Maybe even give them a pat on their backs! Our family is a CHOICE, not a burden!
