I hate it so much when one of the kiddos is sick. It is so hard to watch them while they are in pain and there is nothing I can do. A while ago, when we were nursing someone through a cold, (not too big of a deal), I was saying to Matt that we were probably going to experience every type of illness and injury we can think of. That was a huge mistake to say out loud, because that weekend, Alexys was in the E.R. twice! Once for a concussion, and the other for stitches due to a dog bite! Three out of the five have had overnight stays in the hospital. Apryl being the most recent with E-Coli. Alexys overcoming kidney issues, which was one of the scariest moments of my life. Garhett has covered the surgery department already, so, hopefully we can hold off from more surgeries for a while! Broken bones? Yup, got those covered also! Both Apryl and Alexys have broken their collar bones. And let us not forget Apryl's ride in the ambulance for her broken arm. That also required an overnighter at Childrens! We are very accustomed to the procedures at various E.R.'s. Oh, and they don't even need us to fill out paperwork anymore, they just ask if anything has changed since the last time we were there!
