Learning to Fall
I was thinking today as I was watching the little people trying to jump, that maybe they should set some time aside to perfect their falls. They fall while walking, running, dancing, getting on and off the couch. They fall into walls and into the coffee table. They slip off chairs and stairs. They tumble down hills or a sidewalk that is too steep. So, after all that, I have decided they need to know how to tuck and roll! Since they were born fearless, they may as well know how to protect themselves. It is not practical for them to wear a helmet and knee pads all day, everyday. I also can not pad the house or the outdoors. I just would like to see them have their brains intact for when school starts. As of today, they both have bruises on their foreheads from where they bonked heads. They find it funny to purposely smack their heads together--go figure. I will hear them laughing and laughing, and when I go see what is up, I find them giving each other head butts. I can't understand it, but their laughter is fun to listen to. To each his own!![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-089tghtH7sVhOQqsnM90vNWlrxQIfFFb2bGKXH3CAc-ipDF5Fn2VmnIlsuNJ2vU_Z4gk1ua5t9Cf9-TomcIpicCcQRu82wHntZxaP5pvYw_3n4hRh1bYRoiZ1SwqnP6P8w4Hm_kT545L/s320/DSCN0678.JPG)
