Hats Moms Wear

This weekend was filled with high fevers, throwing-up, and crying. Poor, poor Addy had an awful weekend. She ended up being sick to her stomach all day yesterday and today. I had to move her into our room at just after midnight last night in order to keep a closer eye on her. It always amazes how much room such a little person can take. I had an arm and or a leg on me at all times during the night. Keep in mind it was a feverishly hot arm or leg. Took care of her while she threw up on her Dad twice. Had a nice long chat at 1:30 a.m. with a super nurse from Children's. Matt and I were sleeping with one eye open and a towel in our hands to be ready just in case. This morning was not any better! I have had to wash her blankie twice, our sheets along with the comforter and an ungodly amount of towels. Not to mention our regularly scheduled laundry! As I am writing, I can still hear the whir of the dryer. Addysen needed a bath of course, but shortly after the bath, she needed a shower! I found her lying on the floor in the living room several times today. She says she doesn't want to go to bed. I know she is uncomfortable, and there is not much I can do for her. That is the hardest part. I am hoping tomorrow goes better for her. And for me too I suppose. All of my help goes back to work and school!

Missed One!

Missed last night's entry. I was tired and couldn't bring myself to get off the couch! Matt and I had to take Addysen to Children's after hours care. She was running a fever over 103 for the whole day, and had stopped talking and doing anything other than going to the bathroom. Normally, being that I am a pretty seasoned mom, I would wait on getting medical help with most fevers. It was her behavior that was worrisome, so we took her in. There she was still very hot, and not doing anything. They were able to give her some Motrin, which I can not find on my own because it has been recalled!! Very frustrating! Long story short, this morning she woke up and is in rare form! She is yelling at her brothers already. I suspect she is making up for missing out on an entire day of telling them what to do! One of these days she will realize, like most men, they are not listening anyway!

You Have Got to be Kidding!

Things went from bad to worse today in just a matter of minutes! The events started at 8:30 this morning. I took the little people down stairs to play, like usual. As I was sitting with Garhett playing blocks with him, Addy came over to tell me that she had poop on her arm. I laughed and said, "you don't have poop on your arm, silly girl." A few seconds later the smell told me she was not lying. I thought why the h#@l do you have poop on your arm?? When I investigated, I found poor Brenden had completely exploded from the waste down! We then got to the bath as fast as possible. Which with three kiddos is not too easy. Especially when one is disgusting to have to pick up! I was standing at the bottom of the stairs with Brenden held as far away from me as I could, trying to coax Garhett to come with me upstairs. I could tell by the look in Garhetts eyes that he knew I was in a bind. He could either make me chase him down, or actually come with me willingly. Thankfully, he chose the latter. So, we finish with the bath and everyone is clean and smelling wonderful again. I picked Brenden to get diapered and dressed first. BIG mistake!! As I was busy with him, Garhett pooped in our closet! I had to put naked Brenden back on the ground and hope he could control himself for a moment while I cleaned up his brother! Needless to say nap time could not have come any sooner!

I'm On Break!!

Just after seven, the boys are just getting into bed and I am officially on break. I am on break that is until Addy needs her teeth brushed and a bedtime book read. No homework this week since school is almost done which is sooo nice! Ran the kids all over after school. Went to dance class, and Dad took Apryl to softball practice. He also ran to the grocery store during her practice. It is not too easy for me to go the store without another adult. I need two carts not for groceries, but for my kids! We have done a trip to Target, and maybe one or two quick trips to the grocery store. When I think I will just run in and grab something, I am usually not back for about 45 minutes. People always want to ask questions about the boys and tell me about some random set of twins they know. Then we get the people who feel sorry for us or have the nerve to ask us if we are crazy. I have been telling them lately to feel sorry for me if I break my leg, or my house burns down. Do not feel badly for me because I have five awesome children. Then we will also hear "better you than me". That is appalling to me. Why do people not think before they speak anymore?? Why do some people feel it is okay to say something insulting as long as they are smiling when they say it?? I have friends and acquaintances with four or more children, and they can all recall a time when they have been approached by perfect strangers with something rude to say them. Next time you see a family with a few kiddos having fun and loving life, congratulate them. Maybe even give them a pat on their backs! Our family is a CHOICE, not a burden!

Teeth Marks

The boys were arguing a little bit today. They were fighting over a chair downstairs this morning. Why they both need the same chair I can not figure out. Especially when there are two other chairs nearby that are exactly the same. Brenden got so mad at Garhett that he bit him on his back. At first I didn't realize why Garhett was so upset. I was able to tell that something had hurt him because of the way he cried. I was thinking maybe a little toe was smashed, or a finger pinched. When we went upstairs to get dressed, I noticed that Garhett had a lovely imprint of his brothers teeth on his back. You could see it so clearly that I even took a picture of it with my phone and sent it to his Dad. I felt so badly for him. Then, we were at Apryls softball game tonight (which they won, and she had two awesome hits) and again, Garhett lets out a high pitched scream. I could see teeth marks on his chubby little finger!! His brother had bitten him once again! He bit him so hard this time that he nearly broke the skin! I could hardly believe it! If I could have given Brenden a time-out with him understanding why, I certainly would have. If this is a sign of things to come, our B-man might become well acquainted with the corner!

Neighborhood Walk

Today was another great day to be outside. After a bath and a small snack, I headed out with the little people. They like to ride in the wagon Addy received for her birthday a while back. The three of them can still fit at the same time, but I tell you, it won't happen too much longer! The kids love to get out and see what is happening around our neighborhood. They especially love the animals. Addy likes to point out every bird she sees, and the boys bark back at all the dogs! Today a neighbor came over and showed them a nest with four baby birds in it. The nest was in one of her hanging flower pots. I don't think the boys cared too much, but Addy thought it was really neat. Addysen also got go give the mailman our mail, and he gave her the "new mail". That is what she called it. They played in the new grass we are actually getting to grow in that wreck of a front yard. They were so fun to watch running up and down the sidewalk. Brenden spent a fair amount of time trying to either push or pull the wagon himself. Garhett sitting it the wagon probably didn't help! Can hardly wait to do it all again tomorrow! I think we will explore the back yard this time.

Learning to Fall

I was thinking today as I was watching the little people trying to jump, that maybe they should set some time aside to perfect their falls. They fall while walking, running, dancing, getting on and off the couch. They fall into walls and into the coffee table. They slip off chairs and stairs. They tumble down hills or a sidewalk that is too steep. So, after all that, I have decided they need to know how to tuck and roll! Since they were born fearless, they may as well know how to protect themselves. It is not practical for them to wear a helmet and knee pads all day, everyday. I also can not pad the house or the outdoors. I just would like to see them have their brains intact for when school starts. As of today, they both have bruises on their foreheads from where they bonked heads. They find it funny to purposely smack their heads together--go figure. I will hear them laughing and laughing, and when I go see what is up, I find them giving each other head butts. I can't understand it, but their laughter is fun to listen to. To each his own!

Golden Gate Canyon

It was a gorgeous day yesterday! Aside from the 50mph wind gusts, it was actually very nice. The wind was helpful in keeping the temperatures down, without the wind it would've been near 90! That is very for warm for May in Colorado. The only snag on the ride up was a bloody nose that Alexys had. We sang crazy songs and listened to the oldest girls argue. While we were there, we had a picnic, and went on a hike. Grandma and Grandpa Lucci came with us and we also had "Aunt" Elaine. Most people run the opposite direction of our family, Elaine calls to see what we are doing, and then comes with us! They say we are crazy for having all these kids, maybe she is crazier for volunteering to be around them! We all had a nice time. After the hike, we decided to take a tour of Coors. The short tour mind you. This means we skip the actual tour and head straight for the free beer. On the way to Coors, poor Garhett threw-up his entire picnic lunch. I even had to use my new jacket from Pikes Peak to catch everything! We did get him cleaned up and back on the road. I think after that incident, he probably needed a beer also!

Road Trip!

Leaving in the morning to go and play! Outside too! We usually like to leave around the boys nap time, that way they will sleep while we are in the car. We will bring along a movie and snacks to keep them occupied. When we are on the road we have to be prepared for anything. This includes several potty stops and sometimes stops to let someone out who is going to throw-up! We have three out of five kids that get carsick. So, hopefully the ginger snaps work their magic! I heard a long time ago that ginger is good for an upset tummy, and it does actually work. We are only going to be in the car for about an hour tomorrow. When we have the cross state trips, we have to pack the entire house. Everyone wants to take a pillow and a blanket. The girls get to pack their own cooler to keep in the back seat with them. They also have a bag for trash and another bag with activities to keep them busy. I have also been able to come up with some of my own cool road trip games. We like to stop while we are on the road and eat somewhere new or visit a new place. Our most recent trip was to Pikes Peak. When we got to the highest point allowed, (the summit was closed due to 15ft. snow drifts) only Matt and I got out of the car because it was freezing! The wind was so awful, and it was already only 38 degrees! So, we need to go back so I can get pictures of everyone standing in the wind!

Busy, Busy!

Very busy day today! Matt and I even had a couple of extra kids! In all honesty adding two more didn't seem too bad. Not that I want anymore. These two can take themselves to the bathroom, talk to me without whining, and don't throw food on the floor when they don't want to eat it! Also, they do go home eventually. That always makes kids easier. The boys had a full afternoon of running around at various parks while they waited for their sisters activities to finish. We went to the school for talent show rehearsal, and then to dance class with Alexys. We did however miss Apryl's softball game. Dad was there though with Addy and Apryls best friend, Averie. That is a picture of her on her 10th birthday! I can not believe we have a 10 year old. I am not sure how I have managed to keep her alive an entire decade, but there she is! I can't keep plants alive that long! It will be interesting how we manage our schedules when all five kiddos are doing things. Good luck to us!

Addysen!

Today is a little different. The boys were awesome, and they decided to give mommy or "mi-mi" (that is what they call me) a bit of a break today. They both took great naps, ate well at every meal, and for the most part played nicely together. Then, in comes their older, not by much mind you, sister. When they see this cutie pie of a little girl, they recognize that she represents everything they are against! For example, playing calmly, not screaming every moment of the day, relaxing without being asleep, the usual things. This is when the pushing and hair pulling starts. They both gang up on her and yank her hair until she yells. They will both push her off the couch, and steal her blanket from her. They will screech in her face until she gives them whatever it is she has. She is so good about all of these things, it is surprising! She is after all only two! When she has had enough, she calls for back-up~~ME! I will then try to distract the boys long enough for Addy to eat her waffle, or read a book. She is now making sure they leave her alone when she has to go to the bathroom, "No boys!" she will say. Or, "Close the door!". She is able to tell us when they have done something to upset her, and will wait to make certain that someone has a talk with them. I always tell them what they did was not nice, and I make sure she is around to hear. That way she knows their behavior is not acceptable, and mommy will not let them be mean to her! Afterward, she says to the boys, "That is okay baby." and gives them a hug! You can't get much sweeter than that!

Lap Space

It seems as though wherever I am seated, I will always have a child or two or three even, vying for a spot on my lap. After a while of the boys and Addy climbing up and down, and over and under one another to find a seat with mommy, I am DONE! I will hand someone off to Daddy and find something for the other one to do! I love that they want to sit with me, but their idea of sitting is totally different from mine. Another thing is they are usually using me as a way to reach something they can't have. So, they will climb up my lap to sit in the window or jump on the couch. I have to really look into their eyes to be able to figure out their motives for wanting up! I hate it when I think about how "easy" they are when they are sick. They lounge around and sleep a lot. That part is nice. The throwing up and crying because they don't feel well is awful. In the end it is better to have a happy, healthy baby. I know that, really! I am just wondering if there will ever be a day when they like sitting with me, simply because they are sitting with me?? I won't hold my breath!

Day With Daddy

Today was different for all of us. I left the house at 8:45 and Dad stayed home. I got to go on a field trip with Apryl and her class, and Daddy got to play with the little people. I gave him his instructions, which I doubt he followed! Although he did manage to get the dishes in the dishwasher. They house was still standing when I arrived home at about 2:30. The boys were still napping and Addy was still in her pajamas. I'm sure there was a good reason he never thought to put clothes on her, but I didn't bother to ask. Then, he washed my car and took everyone outside to play! We finally had weather that was cooperating. Don't hold your breath though, the rain is returning tomorrow! After that was finished, Daddy made dinner! It was taco night, and that is always a hit with the kiddos. It was a relaxing evening. Now it is time for me to recuperate from all the walking we did on the field trip. I hope things feel a little more like normal by the morning, or else those boys will take advantage of my soreness! I have told you before, they know how to spot a weakness!

Lovin the Hat!

We were out and about this day and stopped for a Chicago Dog! Hence the reason we chose to torture our son by making him wear this hat. The hot dogs were amazing, and the company of five little children was, well, okay! They don't always make for the best lunch dates. That is alright though. We don't think that we will be eating at five star restaurants with our brood, or fine dining with cloth napkins. I can't see our guys drinking their sodas with their pinkies in the air! All of which is perfectly fine. Give me a cheeseburger and a soft place for my kids to run around and burn off some energy and day! We always try to time dinner and playing with their bedtimes. This way, they drop like flies when we get home! Don't get me wrong, our children do have manners, that has always been important in our home. We just tend to get a little loud at times, and there is usually a fair amount of food on the floor by the time we leave. Also, the timing has to be right for mom and dad. If one of us in not up to the task of dining out, then it is a no-go. To be out with them all, you need both adults in order to maintain some structure! Don't let this scare any of you from meeting us for dinner in the future! Happy dining! :)

Not Feeling Great

We have one little man that is having a rough go. He has a tummy that is not agreeing with him.
I hate it so much when one of the kiddos is sick. It is so hard to watch them while they are in pain and there is nothing I can do. A while ago, when we were nursing someone through a cold, (not too big of a deal), I was saying to Matt that we were probably going to experience every type of illness and injury we can think of. That was a huge mistake to say out loud, because that weekend, Alexys was in the E.R. twice! Once for a concussion, and the other for stitches due to a dog bite! Three out of the five have had overnight stays in the hospital. Apryl being the most recent with E-Coli. Alexys overcoming kidney issues, which was one of the scariest moments of my life. Garhett has covered the surgery department already, so, hopefully we can hold off from more surgeries for a while! Broken bones? Yup, got those covered also! Both Apryl and Alexys have broken their collar bones. And let us not forget Apryl's ride in the ambulance for her broken arm. That also required an overnighter at Childrens! We are very accustomed to the procedures at various E.R.'s. Oh, and they don't even need us to fill out paperwork anymore, they just ask if anything has changed since the last time we were there!

Playing With Dad

Here are the boys hanging out with Dad. He is better at keeping up with them in some regards than I am. He knows that they want to be a little more rough, and not so prim and proper. Daddy understands that when the boys slap you in the face it's not because they are being mean it is because they are bonding with you. He also knows they pull hair as a way of saying hello. That is what I refer to as "caveman chic". They also grunt at one another, and Dad seems to follow that too. He knows they love to be tossed into the air at an unimaginable height, and tossed into bed rather than kissed and gently placed into bed. I am still learning the ropes of boyhood. I figure it will be that way for a time to come. I was just getting used to the lovely tea parties my girls have and the "pretty, pretty" they wear. Now, I have been immersed into a world of wearing helmets used in various sports, chasing them up and down the hallway, and throwing toys at them rather than playing with them properly. I have learned that a toy is not a fun toy unless it is used in a manner in which it could possibly break. Gently, sweetly, softly, nicely, carefully, those words are not in a little boys vocabulary! Roughly, toughly, crazily, daringly, OH, MY, GOD!!! Those most definitely are!

Blue Eyed Boys

These pictures were taken just this afternoon. I am so in love with their eyes. I know I am biased, but they are gorgeous! They are going to be a couple of lady killers. (In like 30 years of course.) Garhett on the left, is giving me his best smile, while Brenden is showing us his serious side. I think they are destined to be in movies! Oh, and Brenden just broadened his vocabulary tonight~~he said "poop"! The thing is, he did have a dirty diaper! I know, I know, it is poop, but, I was excited! I never imagined having your fifth child saying the word poop would be exciting. For that matter, I never imagined myself having a fifth child! Maybe a fifth of vodka or something more along those lines. :)

Don't Be Fooled!

Yes, they are handsome and angelic looking, but do not stare directly into their eyes! If you do, you will be under the spell of the Gruesome Twosome! They appear to be a couple of innocent little men learning to maneuver through their worlds. In reality, they already know how things work. If we close the door to our bedroom, she will think we are actually playing nicely with each other. Don't forget to be as quiet as possible, this way she will want to enjoy the silence for a moment or two while we reek complete havoc on our room! And, yes, they lulled me into a sense of contentment twice today!! Each time my brain came back from it's coma-like trance they put on me, I was greeted with a pile of clothes on the bedroom floor. Not happily greeted either! Every stitch of clothing these two boys have was strewn everywhere throughout their room!! So, mom folds them neatly and arranges them according to season, only to have the honor of repeating this a few hours later! Now, we have made it so the boys can not get into the kitchen, they have not been allowed in the bathroom since Daddy found Alexys' shoes in the toilet! They are forbidden from her room as well because they tend to throw books rather than read books! They are also cut off from our room because they turn the t.v. on and off and same with the clock radio. That only leaves the living room and their bedroom. If they keep emptying out the drawers, they are going to be banned from their own room too! It is as if unknowingly, we are running a mini prison! They will be allowed into their room for good behavior!

Sleepy guy

Yes, this picture was a while ago, but I miss that age when the little guys would cuddle up in my lap and fall asleep. Tonight, Garhett was not having bedtime! So, after his brother had fallen asleep and he was still crying, I went and sprung him from his crib. He came into the living room with me and we cozied up together under a blanket. I got to rub his fuzzy little head and hold his hand. I love babies hands when they still have dimples instead of actual knuckles. Slowly but surely he fell asleep. It may have had something to with the fact that I wasn't watching Dora the Explorer or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. But, it just made me remember how quickly they lose some of the things that make them babies. I don't expect my guys to sit with their mommy and cuddle when they are 12 or anything like that, so don't worry! I can always pinch their cheeks instead. They are our last babies, and I am just trying to soak up every moment. And, the moments are fleeting at best some days!

I got them!!

The entire bunch!! This is a rare occasion to find everyone in the same spot, and getting along mind you! Of course the guys have neither shoes nor socks on! Garhett is not even allowed to wear shoes and socks until we get to where we are going, because he takes them off anyway! If they could, they would take off all of their clothes and just be totally naked. It is something they get from their two year old sister. Who by the way happens to be fully clothed in this picture! We have to bribe her to put underwear on when company is coming over. Bath time suits all the little ones just fine. They are free in the tub. The boys especially like bath time. They like to try and empty the water out of the tub using anything they can find. They will pull their towels into the tub if left in their reach. Addy always says after bath time is over, "look at the puddle mommy." And, I say, "yes, I see it." She then replies, "the boys did that!" I just shake my head and sigh. I have a feeling that Addysen will be using the phrase "the boys did that" more than I care to think about! They can be such booger heads, then they come over to me and give me one of those wonderful, sloppy, open mouth little boy kisses and everything is fine! They might be here to torture their sisters (which is funny at times) and to find a better furniture arrangement for our living room, but I love them. Our lives would be less interesting without them!

Sit Still!!

These boys are like little Energizer Bunnies! I have the hardest time getting them to sit for a picture. Believe me, I find many opportunities to snap a photo, but the cooperation from the guys is just not there. Even in the picture with their biggest sister, they were only interested in seeing what they could rip apart on the carriage, or getting down as fast as possible. I need about 15 people taking pictures simultaneously to get anything that resembles a nice picture! Also, sitting and taking a moment just to breath is unheard of as far as they are concerned. Breathing is almost a waste of time in and of itself according to the boys. They would lose the time it takes to slam shut doors, run down the hallway just to pull a sisters hair, spit milk on the floor, laugh when they throw toys at the other one, hunt down a remote control, etc. etc. They just do not STOP!! I am outnumbered even at the best of times. They will tag team each other and run off in separate directions just to watch my head spin! They are clever and work as team. That is a very dangerous combination! These boys remind me of the Velociraptors from Jurassic Park. They test things for weaknesses and then attack! They are going to kick my butt into shape yet!

Eating

When my boys are hungry, the entire block knows! AAAA BITE!!! They both holler this sentiment until their mouths are filled with whatever it is they think they need a bite of. These two are great to have around if you are trying to control the amount of food you are eating. I have become a world champion speed eater. If I do not eat when they are sleeping, in order to have a meal, I have to eat as quickly as possible. If I don't, those dreaded words, AAAA BITE!!! will follow me throughout the house. I wonder also, when they do finally get a bite, why does it end up on the floor? This bite always ends up in the other brothers mouth. He wants to grab it before the guy changes his mind. And from this we have the brother who originally had the bite
throwing himself backwards onto the floor in pure anger! He was certain that bite was going to be there until he was ready to try it again. They have no qualms with taking food off each others trays, or even out of each others mouths for that matter. Share and share alike, that is their motto!

AARRRGG!!!

Where is the Calgon when you need it?!? If you do take me away Calgon, please make it somewhere far, far from here!! Also, make sure it is deafeningly quiet!! I am wondering how a child can scream incessantly for over three hours. And, why?? Why do they feel the need to make a point as loudly as possible? Even when you pick up the child they still continue to scream! I am at a loss sometimes. But i digress. Screaming over now, boys in bed, and girls getting ready for movie night. Wait...girls arguing about who is doing what to get ready for movie night! I think they heard the silence upstairs and decided it was just too quiet! Okay, now, I am serious, where did I put that darn Calgon?? Maybe that is mommy code for wine. Yes, that is it! Our "fore-mothers" were saving face by nicknaming their alcohol Calgon! Wow, I feel better now! Knowing that wine has always been a go to for mothers throughout the ages, I feel less alone! Less crazy. Wineries should be thanking screaming babies and fighting children everywhere! Cheers! :)

Carriers!

As cute as these two little boys appear, do not let them fool you!! They are filled with germs and an ungodly amount of bodily fluids! Right now as I am writing, I can feel the wonderful bug my sons have so generously shared with me, taking over my body!! No matter how hard a mother tries to stay healthy, she is fighting a losing battle! No amount of disinfectant is going to combat the "carriers". That is what my sons are being referred to--CARRIERS! For the past two days we have used more tissues, napkins, t.p., shirt sleeves, whatever I have on hand to wipe a nose, then I can ever remember. Just when I was thinking cold season was over for awhile! Oh, and why when going in for the wipe do little children move their heads in every direction imaginable? They become almost "owl-like" when a tissue is nearing them. It is as if they are wanting to keep the snot on their faces just so they can come over to mom and wipe it on my shirt. They have begun to mistake my clothing for a tissue. Now, I can't recall a time when they saw someone else do that, so, this has always stumped me!! Happy wiping all!

Wednesday

This is a picture of the boys in their ugly sweaters!! We had an ugly sweater party recently for my birthday. This picture reminds me of a 1970's photo with kids who are thinking "Oh great, she taking our picture again." They have yet to get used to the camera permentaly attached to mommy's hand. My girls have learned to deal with it. My two year old will at least sit for the picture, although she may not smile! I have found that taking pictures and videos are the only way I am going to remeber going through "mommy-hood". They will also provide a solid defense in court should I ever need one!!

Please God, No!!!

Today started out as any other, 6:15 wake-up call, running about the house seeking new things to destroy, protesting the choices made for breakfast, playing downstairs with the blocks. All pretty usual for our guys. Bath time at about 10:30, just before nap-time. Nap time is the only way I would survive the day. When bath time is through and getting dressed and diapered is next on the agenda, I always enjoy watching those chubby little baby bottoms running down the hallway with such glee. The boys always make a run for it as soon as their little "Fred Flinstone" feet hit the ground. I know our girls did this sort of thing as well, but they did not find it necessary to hold themselves while racing up and down the hallway. Getting one little man ready for the day means leaving one naked for a bit of time. This can lead to much danger as I experienced today. I turned to put Garhett (the oldest of the boys) down just in time to see Brenden (the one in the picture) reaching to pick up a piece of poop off the ground. His two year old sister is screaming "That's yucky mommy!!" over and over, while I am trying to get to him before he is able to pick it up. We all know what kids do when they grasp things in their little hands! They smush the h$ll out of it! So, I push his poor, unsuspecting brother to the ground to move him out of the way and yelled, "Please God, no!!!" I am not sure why I chose those words, but in my mind all I was thinking about was having to give him another bath, and what a pain it was going to be. Fortunately, he only got a little on himself and his bath was salvaged with a good hand washing. I will always remember his sister saying, "he pooped like a doggie."

Monday, May 3, 2010

This all started when my hubby thought we needed to try one more time for a little boy. Had I known then that for me boys came in pairs I may have re-thought our decision! Now, fast forward to today! Those adorable little babies in the picture (that could not move on their own yet) although still quite adorable, have been nick-named "The Gruesome Twosome". And, with good reason. Or shall I say, with MANY good reasons! I am trying so hard not to rush them through their toddler years, but there are days when I find myself praying for bedtime! Keep in mind they are our youngest children. We have a two year old, a seven year old and a nine year old. They are all girls. Sweet, angelic little ladies. Already at 16 months old, my boys are most definitely BOYS! They like to remind me of this fact each day! They climb on everything, and rearrange my furniture. They have a bloody nose at least twice a week. They torment their two year old sister. The differences are so profound it is amazing! I will never run out of stories with these two around. They have brought a whole new dynamic to our family!
